Dr. Marcus Anthony Hunter said the following about joining the board, “I am excited to join NBJC’s board. I agreed because I want to support NBJC’s work to promote policies and legislation that advance the rights and equality of Black LGBTQ+ and SGL individuals. This includes efforts to combat discrimination, promote inclusive healthcare, reparations, and secure legal protections. Opportunities for advocacy and social change through NBJC can empower individuals to impact their communities and society as a whole positively. I am excited to support NBJC’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and equitable world for Black LGBTQ+ and SGL individuals. I bring over 25 years of policy research, scholarship, advocacy, and activism. I am excited to contribute my insights, energy, and networks to assist NBJC in achieving and executing its mission and goals.”
