Emily Leugers_

Emily Leugers serves as an Executive Assistant at the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC). She supports the Executive Team and NBJC projects and campaigns.  

Emily graduated cum laude from Colorado State University with a degree in political science concentration in U.S. Government, Law, and Policy and a minor in Political Communications. During college, she spent a semester working as an intern at NBJC through the Washington Center program. After graduating, she served as a program consultant at NBJC, supporting several critical initiatives, including HIV/AIDS Awareness; the Black Institute; the Stolen Lives Initiative–honoring the lives of Black transgender people killed through acts of hate; the Black Women Legendary Elders Wisdom Awards Ceremony and Virtual Tea; the James Baldwin Legacy Awards; and production assistance on several digital programs. 

The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and same gender loving (LGBTQ/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS.
