Share Your Story_

Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+/Same-Gender Loving (LGBTQ+/SGL) people experience discrimination in all parts of their lives – on the job, in healthcare, in education, when buying a home, when seeking services paid for by our tax dollars, at businesses open to the public, and in religious services. It happens so often that we do not talk about or report it too often. As Zora Neal Hurston reminds us, “If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.”

Our stories have power and can push those in power to shape public policy with us in mind. Please share your story with us to potentially be shared with members of Congress, other lawmakers, the media, and on digital media platforms to advocate for the Black LGBTQ+/SGL community. You are welcome to share as many experiences as you feel comfortable.
