Yoruba Richen’s ‘The New Black’ Wins Audience Award at AFI Docs

From the Hollywood Reporter:

"The five-day festival, previously known as Silverdocs, played both Washington D.C. and Silver Spring, Md., as it screened 53 films from 30 countries.

Yoruba Richen’s The New Black, a documentary about African-American attitudes toward gay marriage, has received the AFI Docs film festival’s Audience Award for Best Feature."
